My baby turned 2!!

I am not exactly sure how it happened but my baby turned 2 last week!! How did he grow up so fast...I can't believe 2 years has passed. Now I have our new little Asher baby and I feel like Noah should still be that little some days! Anyways we celebrated his first birthday Noah's first birthday on his actual day, July 8th, and it was a blast. I rented this bouncy house/water slide thing and it was a hit with all the kids. Luckily the weather that day was extremely hot too, like 36 degrees so the cold hose water felt great. The kids started playing around 3:40ish and there were still people and here till like 8:00pm haha it was a great day! I had a little pool that Noah's Nana Shirley and Papa Lloyd gave him as a gift and a big slide into it that the babies played with a lot. The big kids were just all excited and crazy on the bouncy house so they kinda just took it over haha. I had a puppy piñata that I ended up just doing with all the little kids which was really fun for them because they all got a bunch of turns and they all hit so soft it was a fun time for them! I had put all the piñata candy in individual bags inside to so then they all got the same amount. I figured all the little kids wouldn't understand what to do once it broke open haha. Anyways here are a bunch of photos from our fun day! We love you Noah!!

Notes about Noah over the past few months:

April 28th - Noahs first night in his big boy bed and he seriously loved it! He slept great right from the first night. Sometimes he will wake up and just come into our room and we will just go right back in and lay with him in his bed and he will just cuddle you and you and go right back to sleep. He does so much better with going to sleep and even sleeping through the night again ever since he go into his own bed. He hasn't been sad or wanted back in his crib once! It has been a great transition for Noah! He was totally ready obviously.

May 6th - Noah has been really interested in the toilet for a while now and likes to flush it after you go and likes to go to the bathroom whenever Kyle goes and such. Anyways I've noticed most nights when I take his diaper off to go have a bath he pees right away so I have been getting him to sit on the toilet because he thinks it is fun. Well tonight he did it and he actually went pee! Like a big pee! He was so proud of himself. I am not potty training him right now and wasn't planning on doing it anytime soon but maybe I will just have to watch and see.

May 8th - Noah ripped off his diaper today so I asked him if he needed to go sit on the potty. He ran straight there and when I sat him on it he did a little pee. Crazy boy!

June 30th - Sweetest moment of my life today! Noah just layed quietly in bed while I gave him medicine and a sippy of milk because he woke up and isn't feeling well. Then when I layed down beside him he turned of his side, cuddled right up to me, closed his eyes, put his arm around me and started rubbing my back/arm. (His little arms aren't long enough to reach my back) Such a sweet boy I've been blessed with!

July 16th - Since Noahs birthday he has all of a sudden said a bunch of new words:
> Water! About a month before his birthday he would sometimes call water "wawa" but he actually can say water now.
> He says tractor which he has said for a little bit but it is clear to me now.
> The other day we were at my grandparents pool and Kyle was going to jump off the diving board and Noah went running up to Kyle yelling some kind of gibberish followed but GO very loudly. I think he was trying to say "ready, set, GO" or something!
> He handed me the ketchup bottle and said "more" when we were eating scrambled eggs the other morning. The only thing is things have to be Noah's idea haha. He doesn't use his words regularly yet but every once in a while he will just surprise you and start saying them. His understanding is great though. You can just ask him to put things in the garbage or bring you something and he will do it. When we are leaving the house I will always ask him to the turn the TV off and he will run and go do it. And also whenever we get out of the bath I always say ok lets pull the plug and then I will pull it but lately Noah will pull it himself now. He is becoming so smart!

My growing little man!

So I know I havn't done a post in a while dedicated to Noah so I decided it was about time I did an update of all the changes in my little mans life! He was 21 months old yesterday and that is so crazy to me! He still feels like he should be my tiny baby but everyday he shows me something new he can do or say. Like just the other day my cousins Lindsey asked him what a monkey says and she made the sound to him and now it's his favourite animal sound haha. It's really cute. He just does a high pitch EEEEEEE! His other favourite is a cow. But I find it funny that that's his favourite animal sound because it is very fitting to his personality haha. I have always said he was my little monkey. Like he talks like a monkey and he climbs like a monkey. He has pretty much mastered climbing everything in my house. Tall stools, garbage can, counter tops, laundry baskets. If it is to high he will find a way by pushing something over to it to climb first. I've tried so hard to keep him down but that just causes meltdowns and to me those are worse right now. He is such a stubborn kid. I mean who am I to talk though, I'm pretty sure I wasn't any easier at how age but as for the climbing....I blame that all on Kyle haha and he agrees. Kyle has decided Noah is going to be his little adventure seeking buddy. I figure he is a pretty promising student. He is so active and doesn't show much fear. He can swim with water wings already, has gone skiing a few times and likes it, and clearly loves to climb everything! Noah also thinks his dad is the best thing ever. He has all the coolest things such as his gators and machines and he is just so much fun I guess. Now that Kyle works at the golf course again we spend a much a big chunk of every day outside following Kyle around. Noah loves being outside and it is great for me because he tires himself out. 

Anyways here are some new things Noah has done lately. 

19 month notes:

- he loves to give kisses and thinks its funny if you dodge them last minute. My dad does that all the time and Noah will just keep going in for the kiss anticipating my dad to turn his face last minute and then will laugh so hard!

- gives high fives

- can blow kisses . Sometimes he will even give you his hand to kiss as if he is passing you a kiss or something. 

- showed me he can climb out of his crib

- February 6th we got shots and Noah is 24lbs and almost 33in tall

20 & 21 month notes:

-Makes the MUAH sound when he blows kisses now. 

- April 8 he weighed himself at the midwifes and is 25.6lbs

- has completely mastered climbing out of his crib. I don't get him out of bed ever anymore. I put a night light in the hallway because in the night time he will wake up and just walk to our bedroom and climb into our bed and fall asleep. I find it pretty cute but surprising because up until now if I ever tried to lay down in bed with him he would wake up instantly and start dressing out. Now he absolutely loves it. Maybe because it is his idea now. 

***Let me tell you the story of when he first started making this an everyday habit. He got out of bed himself that morning and and in the middle of the night but he would just wait by his door and call my name. That's why I put the nightlight in the hallway because I think he I scared of  the dark because now he just walks himself to find me in bed. But anyways he had only done it a few times so I didn't know it was a new habit but I was sitting on the couch during his nap and I always close our glass French doors while he sleeps so it is quieter. Well I turned to grab my drink on the side table which is the direction towards the doors and I see Noah just standing on the other side of the doors smiling and waving at him. It scared the crap out of me so bad! I don't even know how long he was standing there for! But this habit has not stopped since so we have decided it is time for a big boy bed for Noah. He could have been in it about a month ago but instead of buying one Kyle decided to build Noah a bed. It is built and is great but I need to paint it and I guess I have just been a little busy and slow. But it will be soon. 

- Noah has started swimming lessons. He loves them! The first day all the other kids were shivering from the colder water and clinging to their moms and Noah was the child who was kicking and fussing as much as he could to try and get away from me haha. And then when it came time to go down the slide the other children had to be coaxed and convinced to slide down where Noah would go no matter if someone was at the bottom to catch him or not.

I think that's all or them. Maybe I am missing some but I can't think right now. He is a boy of few words but he completely understand everything and knows how to get his point across very well. 

He is our crazy little man but we love him for it! Some days are hard because he is so high energy he gets frustrated when I can't keep up to his energy level haha but I wouldn't change him for the world! He is the reason that I get so frustrated some days but he is also the one thing that brings me the most joy! I can't wait to see how he will be when he meets our new little baby soon! He has such a tender heart in some ways that I can only imagine he will show so much love to his new brother or sister!

Our cousins came to visit again!

At the end of february my sister Mindy and her kids Logan and Summer came for 2 weeks to visit! It was lots of fun of course and we were sad to see them leave. We spent as much time with them as we could and Noah loved ever moment of it! He loves his 2 cousins but I really think Logan is his favourite! First of all he is a boy but I think Noah just loves logans personality, like how he likes to wrestle Noah and jump around from couch to couch and stuff like that! While they were here visiting though Noah was going through one of the worst non eating phases I have ever experienced! He has always been difficult and has had times of struggle but for about a month Noah was so brutal. He is still not very great but he is getting better. Not sure what is going on with him, maybe teeth or something but I figure it will soon pass. Atleast I hope haha. Well here are some of the fun moments I caught on camera while we had all 3 of the kiddlets together!

Little moments

I feel like all the little moments in the life as a mother as what make it all worth it! Everyday Noah does something new that makes me just sit back and smile. They are most always small things that to other people would go completely unnoticed and not very important or significant but to me they are the moments that make it all worth it because I am able to sit back and for the first time in my life watch a little mind grow and develop right before my eyes. I feel like if someone asked me I would describe Noah as my true pride and joy because I made him, I grew him, I brought him to this world and I get to spend every moment of every day helping him become the wonderful boy he is becoming! I know one day he will have a mind of his own to think for himself but I am the one person who is helping him get there and I only hope I can so the very best job so I will look back and have no regrets. 

Here are a few little moments lately that make me smile!

My little man has a new love for Lego. When we were in the hospital they have us a little dollar store set of Lego and I never knew how much he would love them! He plays with them everywhere. I always bring a few pieces of Lego with me. But this particular day he kept building different towers, clap and smile at me, destroy it and then start all over again. 

Noah has a new found live for shoes. Specially big shoes that arn't his. Pretty much every day you will find him in our front closet taking out one pair at a time and trying to walk around the house in them, high heels and all. At the end of the day when I go to pick up the toys around the house I usually have to put away a bunch if shoes as well haha. 

My little monkey! If there is something that is off the ground he will usually find a way to master it and climb it somehow. Like this new printer box Kyle just brought home the other day. Noah pushed the computer chair over to it, climbed the chair and then jumped onto the box. His mind just amazes me everyday how smart he is becoming. 

This boy loves his papa so much! It doesn't matter what they are doing as long as papa is involved he will usually be interested. Like the other day I was trying to get Noah to come somewhere and as soon as I said Noah come see papa he came running instantly! I guess my dad eventually got his boys, he just had to wait till his grandchildren were born. 

But this is the quite moment that made me think to write this post this morning. Nothing big or real significant but to me as a mother it was big. He wanted to play with his play table but I guess he was tired of standing so he decided to go find his chair on the other side of the room to bring it over. The only problem was there was a pillow in the way where his chair needed to go so instead of getting frustrated and angry he just put his chair down, moved the pillow and then put his chair where he wanted it to go. His little mind is growing everyday and I love watching happen right before my eyes. He was able to solve the problem all by himself and I was proud! 

My sick little boy.....again!

So Noah came down with another bad case of bronchiolitis and we ended up in the hospital last night. Not fun at all but I am glad we made the choice to come in because he defiantly needed it. But I also learned so much about what is happening to him from the doctors this time. So in a way I am glad it happened so close to the last time because this seems like it is going to be a problem for Noah that we need to really watch for quite some time. So I am glad to understand it more and since then we have really been looked after well. Like my doctor has wanted to see me a few times since and she set us up with a respiratory therapist so all of our bases are covered. Anyways we have learned that when Noah come in contact with just a common virus if he reacts to it bad enough he develops a case of bronchiolitis which you could describe it as a very extreme asthma attack but very server in babies. This results in him becoming very listless and not very responsive due to him not being able to breath properly on his own. The doctors told us that another baby could come in contact with the same cold virus as Noah and all they could get it a cold or an ear infection where for Noah it will attack him with respiratory problems because that is just what he is susceptible to. It has been pretty scary at times having to watch my son struggle to great but I feel sade to say we have been in good care and have good plans to make things hopefully easier to prevent these type of problem in his future!! It is just so hard to tell when he is starting to have this probelm because it is just so sudden and literally within a few hours and the doctors have told me that once this starts happening to him there is nothing I can do at home we just have to come to the hospital. The doctor explained it to us in more detail saying that his bronchi tubes are swelling inward and so he can breath air in but can't push it out so eventually his lungs would just get so full there would be no more room for air to breath in and that is where the danger part comes in. So we have 2 different puffers we have at home, one a steriod that is supposed to keep a constant level on medication in his body to keep any minor inflmation down and the other is just his rescue drug that helps relax his muscles so we are hoping with those we can prevent any more of these events for the rest of the winter!!
This picture below Noah right now as I am writing this. After another long night in the hospital we are just waiting to be able to go home. Luckily we were able to get him to have a little nap this afternoon here because he is clearly exhausted!! My poor boy!! I only pray we won't have to come back here soon!! I never knew how hard it would be to watch your kids struggle and there is nothing you can do to help take the pain away. Mommy loves you Noah!!

Our New Baby!! #2

So yesterday was a very exciting day for me because I had an ultrasound which meant Kyle and I got to see our new little one!! It is so crazy for me to think this is happening because it seems to be going so quickly!! It must be because I have Noah to take up all my attention the only time I think about being pregnant is when I get dressed in the morning or look in a mirror haha! But yesterday was the day for us to find out what the gender was or not and Kyle said it was up to me this time but I decided to keep it a surprise! I actually surprised myself that I didn't find out because I always said I would with baby #2 but I didn't realize how much I would have loved the anticipation in the end with Noah. It was so great!! With Noah it bugged me a lot though like when it came to painting the room and buying stuff and picking out the bedding but in the end I realized none of that really mattered. I painted Noahs room fun anyways and he never slept in his crib till he was almost 6 months old it didn't matter if the crib wasn't decorated! I am going to go on a bit of a buying spree for this baby and just buy them on different reciepts and just have Kyle return the clothes for whatever we don't have so really in my mind what else would I do? Haha but of course it would be fun to no but I really want the surprise again! I am not as nervous as I was leading up the labour as I was with Noah but I know myself and I know I will be once it gets closer so I want that extra incentive to push through the hard stuff! Anyways my ultrasound was fun because the ultrasound tech was actually a friend of mine so she gave us a really great exam! Way longer and way more detailed than anyone with Noah! I got to see everything. It was very exciting!! But its crazy to think she knows the gender of my baby haha!
Well here our all the pictures from yesterday!! This is the newest member of our family!! Only 137 more days to go and hopefully I will be holding my new little bundle! Sometime between May 31st and June 2nd is when he or she is supposed to arrive.

My friend was trying to take a 3D picture but it is kind of hard because Cranbrook doesn't have the proper equipment so you have to free hand the pictures. Anyways this is a picture she got. If you look closely you can just see the baby's face and it is looking to the right. The nose is right at the end of the white stick. The long thing infront of the face is the umbilical cord. I love this picture!
